What kind of commissions do you offer?
We offer unique, bespoke watercolour illustrations in a choice of styles: realistic, naïve, or a blend of both. Our custom artwork includes pet portraits, family portraits, greetings card designs, tattoo designs, T-shirt illustrations, wedding invitations, and party invitations. We also create house portraits, book illustrations, nursery art, seasonal designs such as Christmas cards and other festive illustrations, and personalised gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions. If you have a unique idea in mind, we’d love to bring it to life with a one-of-a-kind illustration.
How long does a commission take?
Commissions will take between one to two weeks. If we are very busy, we advise that this can take longer and so if you need a commission by a specific date please get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
How much do commissions cost?
Commissions start from just £65. As each illustration is tailored to your brief, we’d love to discuss your ideas in more detail to provide an accurate quote. Get in touch, and let’s bring your vision to life!
Can I request a specific style or colour scheme?
Yes, we can work in different styles and are happy to tailor the illustration to your preferences. If you have existing artwork or references, we can take inspiration from them, and we’re more than happy to advise on colour schemes to ensure your bespoke piece is just right.
Will I see a sketch before the final piece?
Yes, once we’ve discussed your brief and received final payment, we’ll provide you with a sketch of the concept. This gives us both the opportunity to ensure the artwork is heading in the right direction before we move forward with the final piece.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes, we offer revisions. This is a collaborative exercise in which we work together to hone the artwork. We want you to love the final piece and revisions are an important part of this process.
Do you ship physical copies, or is it digital-only?
Yes, all our pieces are produced physically using brushes, pens and pencils. If you would like your piece to be digitised please inform us of this at the start of the process so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, absolutely! We have many very happy international clients.
How do I pay?
Commission artwork payment is done via either bank transfer or PayPal.
Do you require a deposit?
Once we agree on the brief, we require full payment to proceed.
Can I use my commission for commercial purposes?
No, not unless we’ve specifically agreed to it. If you’d like to use the artwork for commercial purposes, please let me know, and we can discuss licensing options or additional terms.
Can I post my commission online?
Yes, of course, unless it is being accredited to another artist other than The Inkist.
